EVANESCENCE: 'Fallen' Certified Triple Platinum
November 6, 2003EVANESCENCE's major label debut album, "Fallen", has been certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA) for sales of three million records. Sales have been fueled by the multi-format smash "Bring Me To Life", which features Paul McCoy of 12 STONE, and its follow-up single, "Going Under".
As previously reported, EVANESCENCE lead guitarist Ben Moody abandoned the group's world tour late last month and planned to meet informally Wednesday with representatives of the band's record label in Los Angeles.
The Arkansas-based rock group are scheduled to perform Nov. 16 at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles, where they're nominated for best pop/rock album. It wasn't immediately known whether Moody would make that appearance.
EVANESCENCE have been on tour since August and is scheduled to play dates in Glasgow, Scotland, and London this week with FINGER ELEVEN. The band also are set to play Nov. 19 in Mexico City before returning to the United States for a set of concerts with SEETHER and FINGER ELEVEN starting Nov. 21 in Tucson, Arizona.
